Update on the UK Economy Seminar
2019 is likely to be a year that many of us will never forget!
As the 29 March Brexit deadline draws nearer there is continued uncertainty and disagreement about the prospects for the UK economy in the coming months and years.
Our speaker Professor Joe Nellis will provide a timely update on the current economic situation and critically assess the latest forecasts.
About the speaker
Professor Joe Nellis is Professor of Global Economy at Cranfield University specialising in macroeconomic analysis and policy, business environmental analysis and strategic thinking for managers.
He is Deputy Director and the longest serving member of Cranfield School of Management’s Executive Board. From 1st January 2014 until 31st January 2015 he served as Director of the School and was Pro- Vice-Chancellor of the University from 2005-08.
He also holds Visiting Professorial appointments at various universities in Germany, Belgium, Austria, the Netherlands, Hungary, USA, and Ghana.
Joe has published 19 research and subject-based books and over 200 academic and practitioner journal articles.
He is an experienced contributor to a wide range of national and international corporate conferences and is a consultant to a number of organisations in the areas of strategy and business environmental analysis, strategy formulation and management development.
He was jointly responsible for the development of the Halifax and Nationwide House Price Indexes and more recently for the DPS Rent Price Index.
